Running & sports injuries can be beyond frustrating.  Being unable to do your running or sports can affect your physical health and also your mental well being.

When I had an 8 month calf spasm affecting me many years ago, we found I was protecting myself from a restriction in the arteries around my heart, specifically the aorta.  Now that may seem crazy.  But in my case my body was spasming muscles to protect my artery so no wonder all the orthotics and massage and physical therapy wasn’t helping.
But when I had the Integrative Manual Therapy also called Integrative Physical Therapy I healed after a 2 hour hands on session.
This led me to take 115 classes in this one method alone.  Finding and clearing the root cause is key.

If a knee continues to cause pain despite rest, therapy, chiropractic or massage it could be the root cause is not being addressed.  Many times knee pains are caused by imbalances in the hips and ankles.  And these issues can be caused by areas in the spine and ribcage.  The key is to find your root cause.
Lower back pain is the same idea.  Why are the discs and joints having a hard time?  The key would be a visceral issue, like a leaky gut issue or an artery issue.
Now these are not medical type issues.  You can go to doctors and find yourself in great health.  These are more subtle issues but big for you if they are stopping you from running.
The body, your body has an innate wisdom.  Your body is not doing these things out of the blue.  What you see when you have a chronic pain that resists treatment is your body is protecting you.
And there’s a hierarchy of protection.  Meaning the body will protect important structures.  Muscles and joints can spasm and lock down in order to protect the more important organs like the liver, gut, heart, lungs and arteries and veins.
